It depends on the type of business you run, but more than likely you will see a drop in your income during the summer months. Most businesses do because people are busy spending time with the family or going on vacations. It makes it difficult to pay the bills when this happens. The first thing you can do is be prepared a head of time. To be prepared, you will need to increase your income during the winter time and stick that back so you will still have money available should your income drop a little. Another way is to plan ahead and offer some great promotions during the summer and this will get the attention of your target market. There are a number of things you can do during the summer to attract people to your business. Some ideas would be to pass out flyers while you are attending the parade, handing out business cards while you're at the swimming pool with the kids, or talk to parents while you're at the baseball game. Those are great ways to bring in business, but there are other ways that work just as well, if not better and could potentially drive more traffic to your site and bring in more business quicker than flyers and business cards. • Webinars No matter what type of business you run, a webinar is something you can do. If you offer products, you can do a webinar that shows them the proper way to use your products or uses they might not have thought about before. If you offer services, you can talk about the different ways your services can help others. There are a number of ways you can do a webinar and bring in a large amount of money. If you offer a series of classes, you could do a webinar that will give them a taste of what you offer in your classes. While those are usually done for free, you will more than likely have people join your classes through these free webinars. • Classes Offer a discount on classes you offer during the summer. Now, I know you are thinking you will be losing money, but if you offer this class during the summer you may not have a large attendance, but if you offer a discount you might have more people sign up. Another option is to offer a shorter series of classes than what you offer during the winter months. If you classes are normally six weeks, offer a three or four week class. Don't try to put all of your information together into all of these classes, cut it down and offer less information. You could cut your class in half and offer two sets of classes instead of one. Webinars and classes are a great way to bring in more money to your business. These are great ways to bring in more money during the summer months when people are busy spending time with the kids while they are out of school and going on summer vacations.
